Percent Daily Value as printed on the AG1 Next Gen label (13 g scoop). Amounts inside the three blends are not listed. Sources: AG1 Next Gen Supplement Facts, captured 2026-10-11.

AG1 is a greens powder that comes in a pouch. The label says it has 75+ ingredients. That sounds like a lot, so let's look at what is really in one scoop.

The basics

One level scoop is 13 grams. You stir it into 8 to 10 ounces of cold water. It has 40 calories, 1 g of fat, 6 g of carbs, 2 g of fiber, less than 1 g of sugar and 2 g of protein. That is small. Think of it as a vitamin drink, not a meal.

What "% Daily Value" means

Every nutrient on a label comes with a % Daily Value, or % DV. It tells you how much of a full day's amount one serving gives. At 100%, one scoop gives you a full day's amount. At 10%, it gives you a tenth of it.

The vitamins and minerals

The chart above shows all 24 vitamins and minerals on the label. In one scoop, 11 of the 24 are at or above 100% of the Daily Value. The highest is vitamin B12 at 16,667%. The lowest are sodium at 2% and potassium at 5%. Bars above 300% are drawn short, with the true number printed beside them.

Here is how it breaks down:

  • Far above 100%: vitamin C at 556%, biotin at 1,100% and B12 at 16,667%.
  • Above 100%: zinc at 182%, folate at 170%, and vitamin B6 at 294%.
  • Right at 100%: niacin and molybdenum.
  • Low: vitamin A at 61%, calcium at 9%, magnesium at 7% and iron at 6%.

A big percent is not the same as a big benefit. It only tells you the scoop holds a lot of that nutrient. B12 is a good example. The NIH says adults need 2.4 mcg a day, and one scoop has 400 mcg. The NIH has not set an upper limit for B12 because of its low potential for toxicity. We explain more in why AG1 has so much vitamin B12.

Zinc is worth a look too. One scoop has 20 mg. The NIH upper limit for adults is 40 mg a day, so one scoop is half of that. If you also take a multivitamin, the totals add up. We walk through that in AG1 and a multivitamin: check these nutrients.

The three blends

Besides the vitamins and minerals, the label lists three blends:

  • A superfood and prebiotic complex (food for gut microbes) at 7.5 g. It includes things like apple powder, spirulina, ginger and matcha.
  • A phytonutrient complex (plant compounds) at 1.5 g. It includes broccoli, beetroot, carrot and shiitake.
  • A probiotic blend (live helpful microbes) with 10 billion viable cells.

The first two blends together weigh 9 grams of the 13 grams in a scoop. Here is the honest catch. The label gives the weight of each blend, but it does not list how much of each ingredient is inside. So you cannot tell how much spirulina, ginger or broccoli you are getting. That is a real trade-off if you like to know exactly what you are paying for.

The small print

  • Sweetener: stevia leaf extract, plus natural flavors, citric acid and silica.
  • Allergen: it contains soy. It is free of gluten, dairy, egg, peanuts, artificial sweeteners and GMOs.
  • Storage: the probiotics are alive, so you must keep the pouch in the refrigerator after you open it.
  • Testing: it is NSF Certified for Sport and third party tested for purity and potency.
  • Cost: the 30-day subscription is $79 for 30 scoops. That is about $2.63 a scoop. Our AG1 cost and overlap calculator lets you check other plans.

AG1 also shares study results. It says that in a single-arm study of self-perceived effects over 3 months, 80% felt their digestion improved at two weeks, and 85% felt more energy at one month. Single arm means there was no placebo group. So these are people's own reports, not proof.

Our take

One scoop is a tidy bundle of vitamins and minerals, plus a few blends you cannot measure from the label. It may be a handy option if you want a simple routine. It is not cheap at about $2.63 a scoop, and it needs the fridge once opened. The NIH vitamin facts and the label are the best tools you have, so read them first.

A few kind safety notes. Check with your doctor first if you take a blood thinner like warfarin, since the scoop has 90 mcg of vitamin K2 and people on warfarin need to keep vitamin K steady. Biotin at high doses can also make some lab tests read falsely high or low, so tell your doctor you take it. And if you have a soy allergy, skip it.
