Hello friend. Life gets busy, and sometimes we grab food late in the evening after everyone else is finally asleep.
What's new
One new study led by Oregon Health and Science University looked at data from nearly two hundred thousand people. The team found that eating after dinner or around bedtime was linked to a twenty to thirty percent higher risk of liver disease. This includes fatty liver disease and cirrhosis. This work does not prove cause and effect.
What it means for you
Your daily rhythm matters for your body. When you eat late, your liver works hard while you rest. Being aware of your late meals can help you care for your body better.
One small thing to try
Try to eat your last meal a little earlier in the evening so your body can rest.
